Waiting isn’t lazy, it’s investing.
I used to think waiting meant doing nothing, like I was stuck in some spiritual timeout. But now I see waiting through God’s eyes, it’s not punishment, it’s preparation. It’s not wasted time, it’s sacred time.
In a world that glorifies fast results and constant movement, God invites us to slow down. To sit in the tension between “promise given” and “promise fulfilled.” To trust Him even when it feels like nothing is happening.
But something is happening. The waiting room is God’s gym, His Wait Room, where faith muscles are stretched, trust is strengthened, and surrender becomes worship.
God isn’t inactive while we wait; He’s training us for what’s next. Every prayer, every tear, every moment you choose to trust Him instead of panicking , that’s spiritual weightlifting.
Even Jesus waited thirty years before beginning His public ministry. Thirty silent, hidden years before three years of world-changing work. If the Son of God Himself had to wait, then surely our waiting has purpose too.
God’s Way vs. Man’s Way
Man’s way says: “Make it happen.”
God’s way whispers: “Let Me.”
The world tells us waiting is weakness, but in the Kingdom of God, waiting is worship. It’s an act of saying, “Lord, I trust You even when I don’t understand You.”
Sometimes God isn’t saying no, He’s saying not yet. Because something can be good but still out of season. And if we grab hold of it too soon, it won’t have the roots to last.
Soaring Through the Storm
Eagles don’t hide from storms , they use the winds to rise higher. The same storm that could ground them becomes the very thing that lifts them up.
Maybe your storm isn’t meant to destroy you, but to develop you. Maybe your waiting is the wind God is using to help you soar.
Our Family’s Moment of Surrender
This photo was taken last Sunday, our family kneeling, crying those raw, ugly tears before God. We had reached the end of ourselves… and finally, the end of our waiting.
This season has been hard, on our marriage, our health, and our walk with Him. We’ve wrestled, questioned, and tried to carry more than we were meant to. But in that moment, as we knelt together, we weren’t fighting anymore. We were surrendering.
It was as if God whispered to our hearts, “You’ve waited well. Now watch what I will do.”
Until He Whispers “It’s Time”
Waiting isn’t about standing still; it’s about being still.
It’s about tuning your ear to the One who doesn’t shout, but whispers.
Because when He finally says, “It’s time,” it won’t be a moment of chaos, it will be peace. You’ll know. You’ll feel it.
So if you’re in the Wait Room today, don’t lose heart. God isn’t withholding something from you, He’s preparing something for you. And even more, He’s preparing you for it.
Waiting isn’t lazy. It’s investing.
It’s worship.
It’s trusting the God who always keeps His promises right on time.
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not faint.”
— Isaiah 40:31
