Live to Serve

Jesus demonstrated His love through profound humility. When He stooped to wash the dust and grime from His disciples’ feet, He gave us a living example of servant-hearted love (John 13:14–15). His Word challenges us: are we willing to serve others as He served us?

Reflect today on ways you can “wash each other’s feet” in practical, everyday ways. Perhaps you could prepare a meal for your spouse, charge their phone, run an errand, or take care of a chore that’s weighing them down. Relieve the pressure of their to-do list with simple, thoughtful acts of service.

Be ready to step into the mess with them. Pay the bill they forgot, start a load of laundry, fill up their gas tank, or check their tires. Pick up a prescription, grab a box of tissues, or reschedule an appointment to ease their stress. Let your actions show that you are present and ready to support them—especially when life feels overwhelming.

Today, choose three humble, intentional acts of kindness you can offer your spouse. As you follow the example of our Lord Jesus, fill your marriage with tangible expressions of love, care, and selfless service.
